Birthdays and Cubs game

What a wonderful weekend. We celebrated Jill and Aunt Sue-Sue's birthdays on Saturday, July 15th. We also went to the Cubs game on Friday, July 14th. The Cubs lost but it was a lot of fun.

Thanks to everyone who left comments on the last blog. Dusty, Erin, Shaleah and Dave Mills (Bethany's dad) all left comments. I believe all you have to do is click on the comment button and a comment screen comes up. Then you type what you want to say. So, it would be awesome if everyone could leave comments (nice comments about the Author - Deb (aka mom, Aunt Deb) would be awesome. Comments about what you are up to would also be good.

Dusty left some comments about himself but he forget to mention that he bought a new car! His dad, Mark (aka Uncle Mark) told me and wanted to make sure I mentioned it to all! I however forgot what kind of car. Speaking of cars, Erin has a new car, too - it's a Honda! That I remembered!

Steve (aka Uncle Steve) e-mailed me. He is still in New York and will be for another year. He may be coming to Grandma Judy and Grandpa Jim's, but of course I forgot when!

Meg (aka Aunt Meg) e-mailed me too but didn't yet leave a comment. I know she keeps busy up in Antioch with John running the boats and stuff!

Pictures are below for the birthdays and the cubs game. Thank you to Ryan for helping me get them on. His camera came in handy!

Upcoming birthdays......Matt - July 22nd, Grandpa Jim - July 25th, Lisa Mills - Aug 1st, Tara - Aug 2nd, Meg - Aug 4th and Ryan Aug 6th (he'll be 21!).

Looking forward to hearing from everyone!!

Love Deb (aka Mom, Aunt Deb)

Jill's Birthday at Grandma Judy & Grandpa Jim's house.
Jill will be 31 on July 21st. Markus was busy doing dishes when we sang Happy Birthday to Jill!

Aunt Sue-Sue's birtday at Grandma Judy and Grandpa Jim's house. Aunt Sue-Sue will be - oh wait - that wouldn't be nice. Aunt Sue-Sue's birthday was July 15th.

Aunt Sue-Sue, Grandma Judy, Grandpa Jim at the Cubs game on July 14th. Grandpa just has to be silly.

Matt, Ken(aka Dad, Uncle Ken), Aunt Sue-Sue at the Cubs game on July 14th. In case you're wondering the Cubs LOST.

Part of the Huber family. Scott, Teresa, Lindsey (friend of Danielle's) and Danielle. Danielle is leaving for college around Labor Day. She is going to Carroll College in Wisconsin. John Huber was at work (poor guy) actually I think he was entertaining a customer. Kyle was in Florida visiting his Grandparents.

Dave, Jan, Lisa Mills, Bethany and Matt. Lisa is Bethany's sister and is the same age as Ryan.
Matt married into such a nice family.
Matt sure is getting tan - working outside does that!

Ryan and Nicole. They sat behind me and shared their nacho's! We enjoyed having Nicole with us. She even let me buy her food!

Sarah and 2 of her friends - Katie and Amanda. Thank goodness Sarah didn't pick up any guys this time. However a guy tried to pick up Danielle and her friend. The same guy ran out on to the field towards the end of the game!

    Hello Everyone!

Deb - you are the most awesome of moms/aunts/sisters/etc. to start this! Who says you can't teach an...oops. Never mind. I'm older than you aren't I.
So, I still want to know what this "Choose an identity" thing is! I'm not doing anything with it - unless it makes me.
I saw the picture of my dad. Surprise surprise. Has he ever not hammed it up for a picture? If anyone doubts the saying that 'some ___ never grow up..'. However it's interesting - he told me the Cubs WON! (Did he snooze off at the end of the game?!?)
I am looking forward to seeing folks next week for dad's b=day party. Wish every single one of you could come. It feels like we live on another continent sometimes. I never heard anything about the honeymoon trip by the way...
OK. I have contributed! We'll see if this actually gets posted! My love to all! Auntie Moo Moo aka Meg/Megan/mom/

    Hi,
It was so nice to get out of town and have a nice relaxing weekend (and birthday party) with family. It is great having a chance to see everyone more often.
We hope no one was too confused by having to make their own dinner at the party! We had fondue and raclette...a Swiss dinner in which you have to cook all your own food and make a kind of open faced grilled sandwiches. Well, we had fun.
    Have a great week!
    Jill

    Hi all,
I uploaded some pictures from last weekend to this server right here:

    http://lamar.colostate.edu/~markusg/susanbirthday.html

This website will be shut down in the very near future (since I'm no longer at CSU).

While you are there, you can also look at an old website of mine I made a long time ago (it seems) in case you are interested in what I'm doing...

    http://lamar.colostate.edu/~markusg/index.html

there is some info on work/science related things and lots of pictures/movies regards Underwater hockey. Some of the links don't work anymore...sorry!

    Hey everyone!
Well Aunt Deb I don't think you had to ask for compliments to the author....this is a great idea and it's nice to be able to wonder how the family is doing and just come here and find out! Great pictures, I really wish I could have been at the Cubs game. Oddly enough, the further away I move from Chicago, the more I like the Cubs!
Anyways, I wish you guys could all come and visit in Florida. We really do have the best beaches here...but you have to enjoy them in the sweltering heat! I know you guys had some pretty hot temps recently too, but you get a break sometimes. I know, enough whining. Flight school is going well. I'm in the most difficult part of primary, Radio Instrument flights; basically learning to fly and navigate completely off your instruments (for inclement weather and night flying). It really is challenging. Even when you're doing well, you feel like you are hanging by a thread and any second things can completely go haywire. But, I'm still here, so I'm happy. I still think I'm leaning towards helicopters not jets, but I change my mind every now and again. I'll find out probably in the next month! We get to do a cross country and I'm going to try my best to come home...if I do we'll land at Midway which is pretty awesome, but you really have to fight to get a cross country to where you want to go....we'll see! I miss you guys a ton and thank you so much Aunt Deb for setting this up. I always wonder what everyone is up to and this is really a wonderful way to keep in touch!
    Love,
    Rebecca

P.S. Stand by for a long message from Ian....ha ha-I'll just say "hi" for him.
