Grandpa Jim & Matt's birthday & pic's of Matt & Bethany's cruise
I am so excited that there are lots of responses which means you all are reading this! A few years ago I was trying to e-mail everyone but that for some reason got to hard. This is so much easier and everyone can read everything! As I just told Grandma, family IS the most important thing in the world.
Our friends will change, but our family will love us and stick by us FOREVER!!
Keep the comments coming - It has been so much fun to read how everyone is doing!
We celebrated Matt's birthday on Sat, July 22nd. He is 23 - can't believe that I could possibly have a son that old :) We went to Outback, his favorite place! Sarah made him choc cake, she said it looked like a 2 year old made it - but I thought it looked awesome! Everyone (except Ryan) ate it so it must have been okay! Grandpa had 2 pieces!
On Sunday we went to Antioch and Aunt Meg made dinner and 2 pies for Grandpa Jim's birthday! The place was hopping with lots of picnickers and boaters John was doing a lot of chasing! It was a beautiful day. We walked around, talked and just enjoyed the weather!
Grandpa Jim's bday is Tuesday, July 25th.
Aunt Sue-Sue was in Ohio visiting Jill & Markus most of the week. Jill's bday was Sunday, July 23rd. Maybe Jill or Markus can comment on what you all did with your mom visiting!
Hey did you check out the link that Markus sent - I just love the picture of him!!
Aunt Sue-Sue is back on her way back to Illinois for a few more days and then on her way back to Denver the end of the week.
Jill & Markus bought a house, are going to watch it be built and move in, in Feb - I may have the month wrong but I think it is around that time.
Uncle Mark, Lee, Amy and Alyssa will be in town this weekend (July 29th) Mark & Lee are then going to Michigan for the week (I may have the wrong state - all I remember is that is not Illinois). Grandma and Grandpa are going to show Amy & Alyssa a good time next week. I think Amy has it all planned - way to go for a 4 year old!
Up & comings
Much love to everyone -

Hello!
It was fun seeing everyone this weekend...celebrating birthdays!!
The first picture is only part of one of the painted ceilings in the Vatican Museum in Rome. What is so neat about the ceiling is that it looks like they are framed paintings but really it is all smooth, it was painted to look 3 dimentional.
The second picture is Fort St. Nicholas in Marseille, France. There is another fort across from this one. The forts protected Vieux Port from the enemies.
The third picture is inside the Colosseum in Rome. On the bottom right corner you can see that they built a replica floor so you can see all the pits underneath where all the animals were.
The fourth picuture is the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and is the 2nd largest cathedral in the world! This is in Florence, Italy. We even walked by this Cathedral and all the detail work on the outside was amazing!!
Matt and I did have a great time in Europe and totally recommend that everyone should go on a cruise once in your lifetime. We have a lot more pictures too!!
Oh, and I got my braces off:) Nobody noticed though...haha!
See you all soon!

Yikes! Now that I think of it, I DO remember Bethany's braces were off! I think we should all say something about Ian like Rebecca did! I'll tell him he has to get on if he wants to know what all the family is saying about him - maybe we'll get him on here! That would be great - I rarely hear about him either!
I looked at Marcus' link with the pictures of Sue's b-day party. I gotta say - I'm a little startled at the some of the presents it looks like she received...were those really what they looked like? This wasn't an engagement party that no one told me about, was it??? I'm so glad I got to see Sue before she left. But I wish I would have seen these pictures before I saw her. Oh well...Hope you had a Happy Birthday Matt! Loved your pictures and glad Bethany described them! Love to all, A/Meg

Hi Everyone,
We celebrated Lisa's 21st birthday last night with Jan's mom, dad and sister, my mom, and of course Bethany and Matt. Her birthday is actually today but she had other plans for this evening.
It's great to see so many people using the Decker blog.
I got your phone number from Matt last night and will be calling Ken to set up a golf game. Talk to you soon, Dave
