New & exciting updates!
After many requests, I am updating the family blog and I will try to be better about keeping it updated. I will also start posting pictures again but for now I just want to catch up on news!
Grandpa Jim had outpatient surgery on his foot; he actually had a piece of his toe removed because it keeps getting infected. He was awake the whole time and it was a quick procedure. He is doing well and they will remove the stitches Jan 14th. He needs to stay off it as much as he can, so no more mall walking with Grandma for a while:)
Grandma is busy taking care of Grandpa and is getting ready for their cruise in February!
We are looking forward to the Cubs Convention. Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Scott, Neen Erin, Allie, Uncle Ken, Sarah, Ryan and I are all going down Thur night. Matt, Bethany, Bethany’s sister and her boyfriend will join us on Friday. Grandpa and Sarah think 2008 is REALLY the year.
Now for the news: Matt & Bethany are looking for a house to buy. Matt is still teaching at the alternative school and Bethany is the Chris Ed director at their church and subbing at the preschool. Ryan is starting his 2nd semester of grad school and he will be TA’ing. He got straight A’s last semester. Nicole will graduate from Benedictine this May. Sarah is at Elmhurst College and just turned 21! She wants to major in Sociology and Psychology.
Aunt Sue-Sue & Todd were here for Christmas. We had tons of fun with them. Jill & Markus were in Germany visiting Markus’ family.
Aunt Meg and John are going to Mexico for vacation. Rebecca is done with school and has been assigned to a squadron. They are awaiting orders but she thinks she will be in California until summer. Ian will graduate from UIC this spring and will report to basic training for the Marines.
Uncle Steve is still in New York. Cory & Tim are living in New York and busy with their jobs. Kate has a boyfriend and lives in Milwaukee.
Aunt Sally, Jenny & kids, Andrew and his wife are all in Vermont. We saw Aunt Sally for a little while over Thanksgiving.
Alyssa (Dusty) – update us on your family!!! Or anyone who wants to!
Erin and Allie – update us on your family!!! Or anyone who wants to!
I’m sure I forgot tons of stuff… so now it’s your turn – please reply and fill us all in!
Until next Sunday….Remember Family (& possibly) the Cubs is the most important thing in the world.!
Mom, Aunt Deb or just plain Deb!

whew! It's about time Aunt Deb! I was about to remove this site from my favories! :) Nothing much new with any of us in Rock Island. I am still working at the orthodontist and I still like it alot... Justin is still at the Rail Road, there might be an engineer spot opening up in March so he will try to get that. If he does it means he will be traveling to and from South Dakota for a while to do more training. Everyone at Dads house is good. Allie is about to go back to school after her 2 week break. All the Nieces are good.. they all had a good christmas. I think Shaleah has pictures (I didnt have a camera, but I got one for Xmas, thanks to Justin :) Shaleah finished school at the end of last semester so she now has her associates degree in accounting I believe. And she will be looking for a job soon. And Zach's girlfriend Justine is doing good. they think she is having a girl but I think she is getting another ultra sound (sp?) soon to try to find out for sure. (Dad and Neen want a boy so they can have their first grandson) But of course they will be happy with another grand daughter too! :)
Love,
Erin

Hi all,
Good to see some activity. Markus and I just got back from Germany. We had a great time with his family though sadly our two nieces were sick most of the time so we didn't get out much to go iceskating or swimming. We had several nice walks through the forest though which had beautiful ice crystals and permafrost everywhere.
The new semester starts for me soon and I will be teaching Anatomy and Physiology which is a new class for me so it takes alot of preparation time, but I think the material is generally more familiar to me than the chemistry I have been teaching. Markus got a new boss as of yesterday so it will be interesting to see how that works out (he seems to be a good guy though from Markus's accounts). Mom (Sue-Sue to many) is busy getting ready for her cruise and keeping active with helping the elderly in our church. Todd just started back to teaching too and is starting a new advanced placement track at his middle school so he is very busy. Hope all is well with everyone. Hear from you soon!
