Long Time - No Blog

Well - I have not written in awhile but I also have not heard from anyone.

Jill & Markus - how is your house coming?
Erin - how is Jusitn's railroad training?
Rebecca - how is flight training?
Anyone know how Tara and the kids are doing?

Matt & Bethany are doing well. They both love their jobs - not too many people can say that! Ryan is considering applying to 3 or 4 schools for Grad school - UIC, Notre Dame, U of I and possibly Southern or Northwestern. Sarah is considering 2 or 3 schools for next year - Elmhurst College, North Central or Northern.

Grandma and Grandpa went to see Uncle Steve last weekend. They had fun and Cory and Kate were there too- an extra special treat!

I know that Aunt Meg is busy going back to school and working!

Everyone chime in - I (and everyone else) would love to hear how everyone is!

Love,
Aunt Deb

    Hi Ken and Deb,
First of all, we had a great time at the Disney Show. I still can't believe how much those toys cost but with the two year warranty and everything I'm sure it's a deal. It's been real busy here at the Mills household. Jan and I are heading for Horicon Marsh in Beaver Dam this weekend for a photography hike with the WI DNR. It doesn't look like the weather is going to cooperate but we're going anyway. Last week I was in Philadelphia PA attending a SAP class for the entire week so this week has been busy catching up. Jan and Bethany went to a concert in Rockford but I didn't get home in time to see her on Friday. Lisa is coming home this weekend. She, Jan and Bethany are going to a baby shower for their cousin Melissa. Fall is here way to early this year. Jan and I both agree that we lost August and September some place. One minute it's summer and then...it was gone. Keep up the blog. I know it's tough to get everyone to partipate but rest assured they enjoy visiting the sight to see what's happening. Hope to see you soon. Dave and Jan

    Hi all,
Things have been really busy here in Ohio, but Markus and I have tried to make a little time for fun. A couple weekends ago, we went to Cedar Point (which is rated the best amusement park in the US) for the Halloweekend. It was great, especially since it looked like it would rain all day so there were no lines. Even the best roller coasters where people spend at least 3 hours in line in the summer were only 1/2 hour. It was also cool that they make the park into a giant string of haunted houses at night. Recently, we also did the Diabetes fundraiser walk with a lot of my coworkers (since we study diabetes at work, it had a special meaning for us to walk). It was at our local zoo so not only did we get some nice morning exercise, we got to see all of the animals as we walked around.

To answer the question about our house...it is coming along beautifully. We have all the outside walls, windows, doors, a roof, and the start of plumbing/heating/electricity inside. It still looks a little odd since the siding isn't completely on, thus, we have a PeptoBismol pink (from the insulation house wrap) house with yellow and white accents, but soon enough it will be all yellow and white. It is so cool to see the changes each day and our visits have helped us meet many of our new neighbors (who seem quite friendly).

I hope to hear more of what everyone else is up to. Anyone have any fun plans for Halloween? Miss you all!

    Love, Jill
