Ryan's engaged

Lots of news this week…

Ryan & Nicole are engaged! Ryan asked Nicole Friday night and she said yes! He went to pick her up and they were supposed to be going out for dinner with friends so Nicole was not expecting it! He waited until they got outside and then got down on one knee and asked her! Nicole’s mom and sister got to watch from the window! They did not go out with friends but went to a fancy restaurant in Schaumburg. They are thinking about May of 2009 so stay tuned for details……

Some sad news... Tara & Erin’s Grandpa Leatherman passed away on Feb 16th and I think the funeral was Fri, Feb 22nd. I think he had been sick for a while but never the less, it’s always sad.

Sarah and I picked up Grandma & Grandpa from their cruise tonight. They were gone a long time but they had a great time. Grandpa seemed happy and seems to be feeling better. Grandma had a fever for a few days but she said she is better now. They were able to go on all their shore trips except one. Aunt Sue-Sue’s flight was delayed so she had a long day in Florida trying to get home to Denver.

Matt & Bethany are looking for a home to buy.....Hopefully I’ll be able to send out good news soon!

I have 20 tickets for the following Cubs games – start thinking of which games you can go to and let Grandma or me know so that I can start asking friends if family can’t use them all. Say, May 31st at 12:05 and Sunday, July 13th at 1:20. I can’t wait for the season to start.

Sarah, her friend Katie, Erin and her friend and ME are going to see Kenny Chesney in June at Soldiers Field. They are letting me be the “fifth wheel” but I’m excited!

Any other news out there??

Love,

Aunt Deb, MOM or just plain Deb

Congrats Ryan and Nicole!!! Give us all the details...inquiring minds want to know.

Sounds like everybody has a lot going on right now. Matt and Bethany the house next door to us is still for sale...we are good neighbors :).

Shoot, I wish I were seeing Kenny Chesney, but he isn't coming close anytime soon. Any more cool concerts like that and I will happily be a "sixth wheel".

Markus and I are excited that my mom and Todd are coming out for his Spring Break. I don't know that Toledo is a hot travel destination, but I think we will have fun.

I hope all is well for everyone else. Jill

Congrats Ryan and Nicole!! I just found out tonight.. I have been slacking on keeping up with the news blog! I got a comment from Dusty on MySpace that Ryan had gotten engaged! so I said well how come I didn't know!? so I called Sarah and she was like yeah, duh! don't you read the news blog! :)

Tara and I had alot of family in town last weekend since our grandpa on our moms side passed away 2 Saturdays ago. It has been pretty hard and we have been really sad but we know he is in a heaven now with our grandma :) He had been battling Prostate Cancer and it had spread through out his whole body. We were lucky enough to have gotten to spend a couple days with him right before he passed :)

Aunt Deb, I am really excited that you are going to the concert with us! you are NOT a 5th wheele! :) I'm excited to be goin to Soilder Field.. if not for a Bears game, what other way is there to go than to an awesome country concert!!

Not a whole lot new with my family. All the babies are doing good. Dad and Neen are remodeling their house a little bit, putting down wood floors and painting.. so that has been fun!

    ON A REALLY GOOD NOTE:
    DAD QUIT CHEWING!! :) :)

He hasn't chewed in 2 1/2 weeks!! So thats a really good thing! I hear from Neen and Allie that he's been a wee bit cranky, but thats to be expected :)

Hope everyone is doing well and hope to see you guys soon!

    Love,
    Erin
