catch up time!
It’s been a few weeks since I wrote. Did you miss me?? :)
We had a great Easter. Sarah, Ryan, Matt, Bethany, Grandma & Grandpa had to look for eggs and in each egg was a group of words. They had to put together the words to make a sentence that told them where their Easter Basket was. Bethany’s parents and sister all came for dinner. We were honored to have Ian with us too! Lots of laughs, it was fun.
We also found out Easter morning that Erin and Justin got engaged! We are so excited for them! So we will have another family wedding! They are thinking of 2009.
Aunt Meg spent some time with Rebecca in California. We got to see Cory and Kate a few weekends ago. Their Grandma (Liz’s mom) passed away.
Matt & Bethany will be closing on their new town home in April. I’m anxious to see it! They will be moving to Cary, closer for both of them to drive to work. And possibly a tiny bit closer to us!
Sarah, Nicole, Grandma and me went to Justine’s baby shower this weekend. Justine is Zach’s girlfriend. She is due in a few weeks. It was good to see Neen, Erin, Tara, Shaleah, Talia and all the babies.
Ryan, Sarah and Matt all finished up spring break. They all start back to work and/or school tomorrow.
Last call for Cubs tickets……Jill & Markus are coming to the May 31st game. If anyone else wants tickets for either the May 31st game or the July 13th game, let me know ASAP. We are going to start asking friends.
Opening day!!!! GO Cubs GO!
Would love to hear from all of you….. Erin, do you want to tell everyone how Justin asked you??!!
Love,
Aunt Deb, MOM or just plain Deb

I hope everyone had a good Easter! I sure did :) As Aunt Deb said Easter morning is when Justin proposed which really caught me off guard. The Sunday before Easter Justin and I had been "dating" for about 9 years. So we planned to go to dinner that night, I will say that I thought maybe he was going to ask me to marry him with it being our 9 year anniversy and all. But Justin didn't do it then because he thought I would maybe be expectig it. So on Easter morning Justin took me to breakfast and we went back to our apartment and I was reading the paper when Justin brought in an Easter basket. It had candy and plastic easter eggs in it. He told me to open up all the eggs so I did which were all filled with easter candy in them. Then he pulled another egg out from under his leg and he said well you forgot about this egg! So I took it and as I was opening it Justin got down on one knee, and me not thinking straight I followed and got down on my knees too! :) Then I opened the egg which had my ring in it and Justin asked me to marry him! :) It was very sweet and I was very surprised! I didn't expect it at all!
And now Easter will never be the same! It will be special forever :)
We do not have a date set as of right now. We are looking at a couple receptin halls this week and next. When we set the exact date we will let everyone know. We are trying for Labor Day Weekend of 2009.

Congratulations Erin and Justin! Your engagement sounds very romantic.
For Easter weekend, my mom and Todd came out to visit. We had alot of fun...we went to the Henry Ford museum in Michigan which was pretty cool. They had old presidential cars and the history of car making and all sorts of other cool stuff. I highly recommend it to anyone who happens to be in the area. We also saw a couple Toledo sites like our new glass museum (they also have a neat area where they show you how blown glass is made). Any one else doing anything exciting?
Jill
