June news
Grandma & Grandpa are in Missouri visiting Uncle Mark! Alyssa is turning 16 on Tuesday, 6/24. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Alyssa!
I got to see Keelee at Zach & Shaleah’s graduation parties the end of May. She is adorable. I was accused of being a “baby hog” it’s okay, I sure enjoyed holding her!
Uncle Steve sent me a link to Uncle Steve & Christie's website. There are pictures there....... christieandsteve.com Can’t wait to meet her!
Last night I went to a Kenny Chesney & Keith Urban concert with Sarah, her friend Katie, Erin and her friend Julie. I sure had fun! It was at Soldiers Field and there were thousands and thousands and thousands of people but it was a good time. They didn’t even make me feel like a 5th wheel!
Aunt Meg has had a lot of water problems at Turtle Beach. The Fox Lake is very, very high and boaters can’t boat. Therefore, they can’t make any money!
Jill & Markus are coming to Chicago for July 4th. I think we are going to Hamilton Partners (where I work) to listen to Lifehouse and see the fireworks. They really do a good job there. We may go to the Taste of Chicago on July 5th.
We all saw Jersey Boys – it was awesome, I think Uncle Ken, Grandma & Grandpa enjoyed it the most!
All my kids are doing well and keeping busy!
Ryan is teaching his first Economics class this summer. He really likes it but doesn’t like making lesson plans.
Sarah is working at a daycare, Rainbow Academy, every day for a few hours and also at DuPage Country in the probation department for 15 hours a week.
Matt is working in Schaumburg Public Works dept like he has for a few years now in the summer. Bethany will be teaching preschool at their church in the fall as well as being the Christian Education Director.
Everyone fill us in on whatever I forgot! There are a few pictures below!
Love,
Aunt Deb, Mom or just plain Deb

Dear Family,
I am so happy to report GOOD NEWS!
Rebecca just called from California. She wanted to send me a phone picture, but I don't have pictures on my phone. She told me to find someone who did. I knew she was wine tasting this weekend, so thought she must have some pretty sight to show me. I found David and after a couple of attemps with him looking at his phone and me not knowing what he was saying he started going ,"oh ho, oh ho - you are definately going to want to see this!" I finally got to see, and it was a picture of her hand with an engagement ring from Brandon! Woo Hoo! It just happened, they are still in the middle of a weekend celebration so I know they have not discussed details at all.
Brandon is deployed again in October. Rebecca is deploying in January - so there are some pretty serious limitations for them.
Ian finally was released from the ROTC and already is heading out to Boot Camp next Sunday! (7/13) I thought I was going to have him this summer - but looks like it will be a short one. I think he is glad he is no longer in 'limbo' but I also sense that he is not as excited about military life as he was - and knows the next year or so is going to be pretty rough. He is talking about missing his friends and family. THis is something for Ian as most of you know. He is not one for much sentimental commentary - though we all also know his true heart.
I'm pretty emotional right now family. I love you all. I'm glad you are all out there to share with. I feel like I live on Pluto! I miss you all.
Love,
Meg
