Cubs - what happened?

So I am finally over the Cubs totally loosing in the playoffs. I don't understand how such responsible & highly paid men can completely fall apart. Of course, all us crazy fans come back year after year after year after year..... to watch it happen. But I am over it now and on to next year....can we possibly think.... Let's try this again - GO Cubs GO!

Erin - thanks for the song on my phone about not stopping to believe... it lifted my spirits until about half way through the 3rd game!

Dave - So what happened to our favorite player - Ryan Dempster??? - Maybe just maybe, Pinella should have started Zambrano in the 1st game. However I was so excited that Dempster started the 1st game... until about the 3rd inning when it was obvious that he didn't have any pitching ability in the playoffs!

Sarah, Grandma, Grandpa and I were able to go to the 2nd game. We were so excited until about the 2nd inning when every infielder decided to make an error!

Jill sent me a link to last Thursday nights Saturday Night Live skit spoofing the presidential debate. One of the questions (asked by Bill Murray) was what each of the candidates would do to try get the Cubs to win a World Series. It's pretty cute (although I will never, never believe it), so I am attaching the link to NBC's website if you want to watch it. I think it is about 6 or 7 minutes into the skit if you don't want to watch the whole thing. http://nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/clips/update-thursday-debate-open/742065/

So.... I welcome any comments but please be nice!

    Hi Deb and Ken,
Jan and I were stunned when the cubs went down in 3 games. I think it was one of the biggest chokes I've seen in a long time. The Cubs are a great team but they sure have not shown it in the playoffs. DEMPSTER...what can I say. But what about big Z? Just disappointing. Well, for now, it's "we'll see them next year". Go Cubs Go!!!
